Sophia & Spencer’s Dreamy South Carolina Wedding Weekend

Sophia and Spencer chose to make their celebration a full wedding weekend, starting with a sweet and intimate rehearsal dinner. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they kicked off the weekend with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and a chance to relax before the big day. 

Their wedding day began with a touching moment as Sophia’s bridesmaids gathered around her in prayer. It was a heartfelt start that set the tone for the day. Sophia then finished getting ready with her mom, and we captured a joyful first look with her bridesmaids. 

When it was time for Sophia and Spencer’s first look, Spencer’s reaction was the absolute sweetest! Having the first look allowed us to capture relaxed, natural portraits around the beautiful Heron Hill property before the whirlwind of the rest of the day began. It’s such a great way to give couples a breather and let them connect before the day gets busy.

Both of the getting-ready spaces are stunning, giving everyone a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the morning. This venue offers an incredible wedding weekend package, which I love because it allows me to capture every precious moment—from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell the next day.

With an indoor capacity of up to 175 guests and options to expand outdoors, Heron Hill can accommodate both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations with ease. It was the perfect place for Sophia and Spencer’s big day, and I’d love to capture more love stories at this special venue!

The Beautiful Ceremony & Lively Celebration

One thing you need to know about Sophia and Spencer is how much they love their people. Spencer was so emotional as he watched the groomsmen walk down the aisle, and even more so, seeing Sophia walking down the aisle with her parents. I have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much as I did at their wedding. There’s just something so special about their love that makes everyone around them feel it, too.

The reception was a party to remember, with guests filling the dance floor all evening long. And to honor the Italian heritage, they had a live pasta wheel! 

Before heading out for their sparkler exit, Sophia and Spencer shared a quiet, intimate last dance in the empty reception space. It was a beautiful way to end the evening, just the two of them soaking in the joy of their wedding day before heading outside for a sparkling exit surrounded by their family and friends.
