There’s something so special about a May wedding in South Carolina — especially when it looks and feels like Sofia and Bradley’s celebration at Magnolia Way. Planned by Amoi Weddings, the entire day felt intentional without ever feeling overly formal. Every detail worked together beautifully, creating an atmosphere that was sophisticated, welcoming, and completely personal to Sofia and Bradley.

A Refined Brown, Blue & Green Wedding Palette

Sofia and Bradley chose a color palette of warm brown, soft blue, and natural green, and it could not have been more beautiful for their May wedding.

The earthy tones brought warmth and depth to the design, while the blue added a subtle sense of color and the greenery kept everything feeling fresh and organic. Together, the palette felt elevated and timeless rather than overly trendy — the kind of design that photographs beautifully now and will still feel beautiful years from now.

A Luxury Tented Wedding Reception at Magnolia Way

The tented reception was one of my favorite parts of the day. There is something undeniably special about a beautifully designed wedding tent — it transforms an outdoor setting into an intimate space that feels entirely its own.

For Sofia and Bradley, the reception was both luxurious and inviting. Guests gathered beneath the tent to celebrate, dine, and enjoy an evening that felt effortless from start to finish.

And, of course, no luxury South Carolina wedding is complete without a beautiful bar.

Espresso Martinis & Aperol Spritz

Sofia and Bradley featured two signature drinks that perfectly matched the energy of their celebration: espresso martinis and Aperol spritzes.

The espresso martinis brought a little evening indulgence, while Aperol spritzes were perfect for a warm May celebration. It was one of those details that felt both stylish and genuinely fun — a reflection of the couple rather than simply another wedding detail.

A Wedding Day Full of Meaningful Moments

While the design and setting were incredible, the moments in between were what made Sofia and Bradley’s wedding day so memorable.

There was plenty of time for the beautiful portraits and editorial imagery that comes with a luxury wedding, but there was also room for the things that cannot be planned: the anticipation before the ceremony, the way they looked at one another throughout the day, hugs with family, laughter with friends, and those quiet moments when the rest of the wedding seemed to disappear.

That balance is one of my favorite things about photographing weddings. I want the photographs to feel beautiful and intentional, but I also want them to feel like you.
